Common questions

I cannot see what makes the tile wrong

Every board follows exactly one rule, and only one tile ignores it. Look for the kind of difference first: a shape, a color, a step in a line of numbers, a broken echo in a symmetric grid, a number that disagrees with the dots beside it, or a row and column pair that disagree about shape and fill. The rule is never mixed with another rule on the same board.

Are boards ever unsolvable, or solvable two ways?

No. Every board is handed to a solver before you see it, and it only ships if exactly one tile is a valid answer. Boards with two answers are thrown away, and so are boards with none. If a board ever looks like it has two answers, please send it to me with the depth and the mode.

Why did the Daily turn into PRACTICE?

The ranked attempt is spent the moment a Daily starts, and there is one per UTC day. Quitting or force quitting mid run does not give it back, otherwise a bad start could be retried until it went well. Practice is unlimited from then on and never touches your record or the leaderboard. A fresh attempt arrives at 00:00 UTC.

My Daily result did not appear on the leaderboard

Practice runs are deliberately not submitted, only the one ranked attempt is. Check that Game Center is signed in under Settings, Account. Nothing is submitted while signed out, and scores from that time cannot be recovered later.

I ran out of lives

Lives come back on their own, one every twenty minutes, up to five. Standard and Pure runs each spend one. The Daily and its practice mode cost nothing and are always open, so there is always something to play. You can also watch an optional video for a life, or buy Full Focus to refill them at once.

I bought Still Mode and still saw a video

Still Mode removes the automatic ads between runs. It deliberately does not remove the optional videos you start yourself for an extra life or a second chance, because those hand you something in return. If the automatic ones are still appearing, open Settings, Purchases and tap RESTORE PURCHASES.

My purchase did not restore

Settings, Purchases, RESTORE PURCHASES asks Apple what your Apple Account already owns. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account that bought it, and that you have a network connection. Full Focus is consumable, so it is used up when the lives are added and is not restorable, by design. Still Mode is permanent and restores on any device you sign in to.

How do I change my ad consent choices?

Settings, Privacy and help, Advertising choices reopens the Google consent form wherever the law requires one. Your answer takes effect on the next ad. If the entry is unavailable, no consent form applies in your region.

Modules feel like pay to win

They cannot be bought at all. Module Points come from filling chapter shapes, at every twenty percent of one, and they change Standard Run only. Daily Focus and Pure Run always play at base values, so the two ranked, comparable modes are the same for everyone.

What is Pure Run and why is it locked?

Pure Run is the game with no modules, no rewards and nothing helping you. It opens once the Chapter 3 shape is full, so that it arrives after you have seen the rule families it will use.

Did I lose my progress?

Saves are written atomically and a previous copy is kept, so an interrupted write falls back rather than losing the file. Progress lives on the device only: it does not sync between iPhones, and deleting the app deletes it. If a save ever comes back empty, write to me before reinstalling, since the previous copy may still be recoverable.

The reminder never arrives

The full focus reminder is one local notification for the moment your lives are full, and nothing else. Turn it on under Settings, Reminders, and check that notifications are allowed for Loneflaw in the iOS Settings app.

Can I play on iPad, or in landscape?

Loneflaw is built for iPhone and portrait only. It installs on an iPad and runs in the iPhone compatibility window, but that is not the size it was designed for.
