The idea
One ledger for money and debt.
Meine Kohle tracks accounts, income, expenses and debts in a single iPhone app. A debt payment lowers both the account balance and the debt, so one movement is recorded once.
The mechanism
A payoff plan you can inspect.
A payoff engine simulates monthly interest and payments under a chosen strategy and an optional extra payment, then reports the debt-free date and the total interest. Amounts are kept as whole cents, with limits that keep the arithmetic inside 64 bits.
Privacy
Stored on the iPhone.
The ledger stays on the device unless you export a JSON backup, which can also be imported again after the app checks identifiers and values.
