Daten löschen in Pith

In der App
Öffnen Sie die Einstellungen und tippen Sie auf „Alle meine Daten löschen“ (iPhone: Einstellungen, Mac: Einstellungen, Datenschutz). Pith löscht dann:
- Ihre Gespräche in iCloud (die ganze Pith-Zone in Ihrem privaten iCloud-Speicher),
- den Verschlüsselungsschlüssel,
- die Gespräche auf dem Gerät,
- auf dem Mac außerdem die heruntergeladenen Modelle.
Jeder Schritt läuft auch dann weiter, wenn ein anderer fehlschlägt, und die App zeigt Ihnen das Ergebnis. Läuft ein Schritt nicht durch, weil Sie offline sind, wiederholen Sie es später. Das lässt sich nicht rückgängig machen. Danach legt Pith frische, leere Daten mit einem neuen Schlüssel an.
Auf dem anderen Gerät räumt Pith bei der nächsten Synchronisation selbst auf. Wollen Sie dort ebenfalls alles entfernen, wiederholen Sie die Löschung dort.
Ohne die App
Daten der App in iCloud verwalten Sie in den Einstellungen Ihres Geräts unter Ihrem Namen, iCloud, Speicher verwalten. Dort können Sie die Daten von Pith löschen. Den Schlüssel entfernen Sie, indem Sie die App löschen und den iCloud-Schlüsselbund bei Bedarf zurücksetzen.
Was bei mir liegt
Nichts. Ich speichere keine Daten über die Apps (Datenschutzerklärung). Ein Löschverlangen an mich kann ich deshalb nur mit „nichts vorhanden“ beantworten. Das Recht auf Löschung nach Art. 17 DSGVO bleibt davon unberührt.
Was bei Apple bleiben kann
Apple kann gelöschte iCloud-Daten kurze Zeit in Sicherungen vorhalten. Das regelt Apple nach eigenen Bedingungen.

In the app
Open Settings and tap “Delete all my data” (iPhone: Settings, Mac: Settings, Privacy). Pith then deletes:
- your conversations in iCloud (the whole Pith zone in your private iCloud storage),
- the encryption key,
- the conversations on the device,
- on the Mac also the downloaded models.
Each step runs even if another fails, and the app shows you the result. If a step does not complete because you are offline, repeat it later. This cannot be undone. Afterwards Pith creates fresh, empty data with a new key.
On your other device Pith cleans up by itself at the next sync. If you want everything removed there too, repeat the deletion there.
Without the app
You manage the app's data in iCloud in your device settings under your name, iCloud, Manage Storage. You can delete Pith's data there. You remove the key by deleting the app and, if needed, resetting iCloud Keychain.
What I hold
Nothing. I store no data through the apps (privacy policy). A request to delete data held by me can therefore only be answered with “nothing exists”. Your right to erasure under Art. 17 GDPR is unaffected.
What may remain at Apple
Apple may keep deleted iCloud data in backups for a short time. Apple governs that under its own terms.
