Product identity
The idea
One camera, no invented detail.
Sternewarten photographs the night sky with the physical 1x iPhone camera and minimally processed Bayer RAW. It may align and average real exposures to reduce noise. It never generates stars, replaces skies or reconstructs detail.
The contract
A written rule the code answers to.
A processing contract lists the operations that are allowed and the ones that are never done. The capture receipt shown to the photographer is generated from the same object the pipeline reads, so it cannot drift from what actually ran.
A platform limit
One second, stated plainly.
On iPhone the longest single exposure available to a third-party app is one second. In darker skies the app lengthens the exposure as far as real limits allow, then adds more frames. It does not claim a long single exposure.
Status
Tested in code, never released.
The project has 148 automated tests. Capture cannot run in the Simulator, and the comparison on real devices described in its notes was not finished. It is retired and has no App Store release.
