Contact

Write to info@tiborczekay.com or use the contact form. It helps if you include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and a short description of what happened. I usually reply within a few days.

Please do not attach the photo you were working on. Trutz never sees your images and neither do I; a description of the file type and roughly what was in the frame is enough to reproduce most problems.

Common questions

Processing takes a long time. Is it stuck?

Almost certainly not. Depending on the mode you choose, one image takes roughly ten to sixty seconds. That is a local computation running on your phone, not a wait for a server. The progress percentage, the current pass number and a cancel button stay visible throughout. Choosing the faster friction mode keeps a run to about ten seconds.

Did the hidden details really get removed?

Trutz writes the export from decoded pixels rather than copying the original container, then reopens the finished file and checks it for leftover metadata. The result of that check is shown on the Ready screen. If anything were left, the app would say so.

Something in the photo was not covered

Automatic detection can miss a face, a line of text, a number plate or a screen, especially when the subject is small, blurred, partly hidden or at a steep angle. Always look over the finished copy before you share it. You can re-run the image and adjust which content types are covered.

The saved photo looks slightly different

That is expected when encoder friction is enabled: the pass adds a fine texture, and the app reports exactly how much visible change it cost. The difference view amplifies it so you can judge it for yourself. Turn the friction pass off if you want a pixel-faithful clean copy with only metadata removal and covering applied.

Can I get my original back?

Your original is untouched. Trutz never modifies the file you picked; it only ever writes a new one.

Nothing happened when I tapped Save to Photos

Check iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos and confirm that Trutz is allowed to add photos. The app asks for add-only access the first time you save; if that was declined, the Share button still works.
