Clean
A copy without the hidden details.
Trutz makes a new copy of a photo in your browser. Hidden details such as location, time, camera, serial numbers, edit history and the embedded thumbnail are left behind. After writing the file it checks the result byte by byte.
Redact
Draw what should disappear.
You mark the areas yourself and cover them with a mosaic, a blur or a solid block. The mosaic and the blur grow with the size of the area, so a large face does not stay readable, and the cover also replaces the transparency channel.
Limits
What the web version leaves out.
There is no automatic finding of faces, text, number plates or screens, and no encoder-friction mode: both depend on Apple frameworks that a browser does not have. The copy is saved in sRGB. Nothing is uploaded or kept in the browser, and there is no account and no server code.
