Detection, motion and depth.
CoreML detects objects across 80 classes. Vision maintains tracks between detections, and a six-state Kalman filter estimates position, velocity and acceleration. Gyroscope data helps separate camera movement from object movement.
Inspect

Choose a prediction horizon of 0.25, 0.5 or 1 second. Lock a target, inspect velocity vectors and export recorded sessions as JSONL or CSV. LiDAR-equipped iPhone Pro models add distance and metric speed; other devices report motion relative to the frame.
Limits
A research tool with unmeasured accuracy.
The documented harness contains 19 invariant tests, but there is no ground-truth trajectory corpus or published forecast error. This is not a navigation, accessibility or safety product. Predictions and depth readings can be wrong or absent. Requires iOS 17 or later. Processing and recordings stay on the iPhone.
