Trutz speichert keine Fotos.

  • unrichtige Daten berichtigen lassen (Art. 16 DSGVO),

Summary

Trutz removes hidden details from photos, covers content you select and writes a clean copy. Everything happens on your device. The app itself makes no internet connections; there is no user account, no advertising and no analytics or tracking.

How your photos are handled

You bring in a photo from the iOS photo picker, with the camera, from the Files app or from the clipboard. The photo picker hands Trutz only the one image you select and needs no permission for your library. iOS asks for the camera only when you want to take a photo.

Trutz decodes the image into pixels in memory. Detection, covering and editing happen there, on your iPhone, using Apple's on-device frameworks and a machine learning model built into the app (OpenVision ViT-Tiny, Apache License 2.0). What the app detects in a photo, such as faces, text, number plates or screens, stays on the device. Trutz never changes your original; it always writes a new file.

Only when you save or share does the app briefly create a temporary file in its private storage. This file is protected by iOS file encryption, cannot be read while the device is locked and is deleted as soon as Trutz moves to the background or you start a new image.

Saving and sharing

When you tap Save to Photos, Trutz hands the finished image to your photo library; iOS asks for a permission that only allows adding. You can also save the image in the Files app, copy it to the clipboard or pass it to another app through the share sheet. The copy contains no location and no capture date. What another app does with the image is governed by its privacy policy.

Limits

Automatic detection can miss a face, a line of text, a number plate or a screen, so check the finished copy before you share it. Trutz cannot prevent screenshots and cannot recall copies that have already been passed on.

Internet connection

The app makes no internet connections. If you tap a link to my website, it opens in your browser.

App Store

You download the app from Apple's App Store. Apple processes data about the download, purchases and your Apple Account under its own responsibility; the Apple Privacy Policy applies. I never receive payment details. Apple gives me only aggregated sales and download figures that do not identify anyone.

If you have turned on "Share With App Developers" under Settings, Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements on your device, Apple also gives me crash reports and usage statistics for the app. Apple passes them on only in a form that does not identify you, and I use them only to find bugs. You can turn the option off there at any time.

Children

Trutz is rated 4+ and collects no personal data from anyone, including children.

Deleting data

Trutz does not store photos. Removing the app also removes its temporary files. Copies you saved or shared must be deleted where you put them.

Your rights

I receive no personal data from the app.

Where I process personal data about you, you may, subject to the statutory conditions,

  • request access to that data (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • request erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR),
  • request restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), and
  • receive your data in a common, machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR).

An informal message to info@tiborczekay.com or through the contact form is enough.

Right to object

Where I process data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interests), you may object to that processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). I will then stop processing the data unless I can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Complaint to a supervisory authority

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR).

Automated decisions

There is no automated individual decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

Contact

This policy is published on tiborczekay.com. The website privacy policy explains what data a visit to the website involves. If you email me or use the contact form, I use your details only to answer your request; that policy has the details.

Please do not send me the photo you were working on. A description of the file type and roughly what was in the picture is usually enough to reproduce a problem.

Changes

If the app changes in a way that makes this policy inaccurate, I will update it. The current version is always at tiborczekay.com/trutz/privacy; the date at the top shows when it was last changed.
