The camera

24 exposures per roll.

There is no viewfinder. Set the exposure, point the phone and release the shutter. Advance the film before the next frame; rewind when the roll is full. ISO, shutter speed and exposure compensation have their own dials, with distinct haptics for the controls.

Film

Two stocks. Two formats.

NOCTURNE is a colour cinema-negative model with cool shadows, warm highlights and halation. MONO is black and white, with a yellow-filter response and silver grain. The 135 camera uses a 3:2 frame. On compatible hardware, ezPan uses the ultra-wide camera for a 65:24 panorama.

Processing

A negative, then a print.

Each frame passes through a two-stage photochemical model. The negative and print have separate response curves; the emulsion layers respond differently to exposure. Development happens on the iPhone and writes one finished JPEG to Photos per frame.

Local, deliberately limited.

Requires iOS 17 or later and a physical iPhone with a rear camera. Camera and add-only Photos access are required. Location tagging is optional and off by default. No account, subscription, advertising or analytics. You cannot preview the framing or undo an exposure.
